Aging and homelessness service providers are building partnerships to fill the gaps between two systems that have long operated separately.Cathy Chang and her team have been cooking Sunday dinner at St. Mary's Center for eight years and they are good at it! Today's menu includes fresh produce from a community garden, Japanese salt n pepper chicken over rice, and shaved ice with plum jam. 50 Seniors here enjoying a beautiful Sunday.
Juneteenth is a reminder of the resilience of Black Americans and the corrective action still needed to address structural racism – a mandate deeply felt by the Seniors who seek support at St. Mary's, who chose to celebrate with music and art in the community center this week. #Juneteenth
